I do this activity infrequently: sit somewhere and stare at the horizon. This day is unique because low clouds blanket everything below the hill during a sunset. While the photo is noisey, I hope to find a good day and time to return.
That’s not fire! Neither is there smoke pouring in from somewhere. That’s just the sun providing a fiery blast of red luminance prior to disappearing beyond the horizon. When I show it to people, they gasp in awe and wonder if this photograph is real. Trust me, I didn’t utilize any post-processing software to capture this moment.
Meh. Compared to another Emeryville sunset photograph that I snapped, I didn’t care about this image. But the last remnants of sunlight forming a “V” shape in the sky provided me the reason to save this picture and post it on this blog.
